Frequently Asked Questions
When will my order arrive?
Depending on the time of year, It will take me anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to finish an order. Shipping will be organized on a case by case basis.
Why does it take so long to make things?
Each piece has to go through a three step process. The work has to be thrown on the wheel, trimmed, processed, and dried. Once it is dry it goes through the initial bisque firing which takes 10-12 hours to heat up and another 10 hours to cool down. There has to be enough dry work to fill the kiln for me to have a proper and efficient firing. After the work is cool, each piece is individually glazed and decorated. Once this is done, the work goes back into the kiln for the final firing, heating up for 8 hours and cooling down for 10. The pieces that come out are evaluated for quality, get their bases sanded smooth, and then are sent on their way to you. I hope this helps with understanding the process I go through to get you perfect pieces. Thank you for your patience.
